Not many artists can say their music has surpassed 25 million streams. That’s why at the age of 23 Ryan Oakes has proven to be a forced to be reckoned with. As an Indie artist he has headlined an array of shows all across the country as big as 1200 people and has multiple songs in the millions of streams with some even as high as five. Ryan blends multiple genres to create his own unique sound using punk riffs and melodies, aggressive hip hop raps, and melodic pop vibes to hook his listeners. With a debut album in the works and his first solo headlining tour being booked, it’s been shown that Ryan plans on taking his career as a musician to a completely new level.
FLOYD’s passion for music started from day one with a father who was a professional musician. Combining a rhythmic cadence similar to Logic and melodic hooks comparable to Post Malone, FLOYD has a dynamic offering which shines through on his most recent project, “Gainsborough”. FLOYD’s wide variety of tunes draws from his vast influences. He would listen to classic rock albums from the likes Van Halen to AC/DC until his Walkman batteries died. Being from Detroit -- FLOYD was always inspired by Motown where he draws inspiration for his melodies. He credits Wiz Khalifa, Russ, and Eminem as the most influential rap/hip-hop artists. When he first started recording FLOYD quite literally tore out a closet in his childhood home to dedicate himself to his passion, and always pushes his listeners to do the same. At the ripe age of 23, FLOYD has dedicated nearly a decade to his craft and doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
